On February 20, 2016 five students from Mount Carmel Christian School competed in the DeKalb Regional Science and Engineering Fair.  We are proud to announce that Mount Carmel students brought home seven awards so far. 


Students that participated in the DeKalb Regional Fair were: Laurel Haynes, Patrick Williams, Anna Mayo, Megan Smith, and Brooke Barrow.  Third place honors were awarded to Megan Smith for her project in Microbiology and to Laurel Haynes for her project in Plant Sciences.  Patrick Williams won second place honors for his award in Biomedical and Health Sciences.  Anna Mayo won first place in the category of Animal Sciences and in addition, Brooke Barrow won first place for her project in Chemistry.  Anna and Brooke will advance to the Georgia Science and Engineering Fair (GSEF). 


Anna Mayo and Brooke Barrow were also chosen to compete in a national science fair- Broadcom Math, Applied Science, Technology, and Engineering. Broadcom MASTERS  is the premier science and engineering competition for middle school students. 


Congratulations to each of these students for doing an outstanding job!!
