Ellen Galloway
Grade 4 Teacher

Ellen Galloway is a proud graduate of Florida State University. She taught third grade for nine years in DeKalb County and then left teaching in order to work with my husband. It quickly became clear to me that she missed teaching, and that it was her calling and joy. When Mrs. Galloway returned to teaching, she was privileged to join the staff of Mount Carmel Christian School where she taught fifth grade for five years. After those five years, Mrs. Galloway spent the next thirty-one years in second grade. She retired after forty-five years of teaching. During that year of retirement, she had time to reflect, relax, and rejuvenate. She is now retread. Retirement was not for her! It is her privilege to come back into the classroom as the fourth grade teacher. She is so excited to rejoin her MCCS family.

On a personal note, Mrs. Galloway and her husband were married thirty-nine years before he lost a five year battle with cancer. They had one son who is thirty-four and he is her pride and joy. Her husband had three precious children from a previous marriage. Mrs. Galloway continues to have a wonderful relationship with them, and through them she has six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

In her opinion you will not find a better school for your child anywhere than Mount Carmel Christian School.
